September is Suicide Prevention Month
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people between the ages of 15-24; with LGBT youth being 3 times more likely to attempt suicide.
If you notice someone who not quite him/herself, talk to him/her. If you are still concerned, say something to a parent or a school counselor. Starting a conversation, providing support, and directing help to those who need it, can prevent suicides and save lives.
