No Roof Left Behind
MOUNT CLEMENS, MI — Prosecutor Eric Smith is proud to announce the eighth annual Macomb County ‘No Roof Left Behind’ giveaway, sponsored by Ridgecon Construction.
Beginning in 2009, the No Roof Left Behind program has connected homeowners in need with a new roof, provided by community-minded local roofing contractors, including Ridgecon Construction, a family-owned company serving Macomb County for nearly 20 years.
“The average new roof can easily cost upwards of $8,000,” said Jay Elie, program founder. “And if a family is struggling with health issues, job loss, or death, it can be a real source of stress, maybe even completely out of reach. To us, roofing your home is personal. You do not have to be destitute; just in need of a roof and a break”
No Roof Left Behind works with roofing materials manufacturers to coordinate donated materials. The local contractor, then, is only responsible for donating the skilled labor to install the new roof.
The nomination process is simple. Just nominate a friend, neighbor, or family member in need of a new roof. From the nominations, four finalists will be chosen for an online public vote. Nominations can be submitted from a smartphone or computer. Simply upload a few photos of the roof condition and tell why your nominee is most deserving. Nominees must own and live in the home being nominated for service.
“I want to commend Ridgecon on its dedication to Macomb County’s residents,” said Prosecutor Eric Smith. “To see a company give back further reinforces the sense of community felt throughout Macomb.”
Nominations will be accepted through May 31, 2015 at www.noroofleftbehind.com/program/mi/1164. The winner will be revealed July 25, 2015. No Roof Left Behind and Ridgecon will invite the community to the Installation Celebration - a family friendly block party event - shortly thereafter.
